Transfer to Kaikoura and New Zealand's famous whale grounds. As we depart, before climbing over the Richmond ranges, view Nelson Bay and the city from above. We fly overhead the Wairau Valley looking towards Blenheim, the heart of our wine industry. The inland and seaward Kaikoura Ranges are a stunning sight with the highest peak at almost 9000 feet above sea level. At our destination you will transfer to another helicopter which will take you out to view the magnificent 'Sperm Whale' which is in residence year round. Depending on the time of year you may even see Hump Back Whales, Pilot Whales, Blue Whales and Southern Right Whales. You may also see all types of dolphins and maybe even an Orca!
